Before the holidays, everything was all "let's circle back after the new year," and you totally played into the bit. You could've definitely wrapped things up before the break, but who really wants to hustle hard at the end of the year? It's the one time when slacking off is practically encouraged. Half the office is out on PTO, and the other half is scrolling Amazon for last-minute gifts or stress-eating cookies in the break room. It's a total vibe, and we loved every minute of it.

But now it's time to actually circle back, and we're cursing our past selves for thinking we'd magically be ready to grind after the break. Before the holidays, there was so much work bestie time—holiday parties, potlucks, and all the juicy gossip we could handle. But now our calendars are stacked with meetings, and the only time we see each other is passing by on the way to yet another conference call.
